  • The course was designed to give an overview of risk and reliability assessment fields while engaging the students and making them think about the implications for their applications.

  • The course covered the following topics:

    • Definitions and discussion of the main terms: Risk, Risk management and analysis, Hazards, Threats, Reliability, Failures

    • Often applied risk identification, analysis and evaluation methods with examples of AI application for these

    • Maintenance and maintenance optimization

    • Software risk and safety

    • Implications of AI on risk

    • Cyber security for marine and autonomous systems

    • Practical exercises and examples for the students applying hazard identification methodology
